Roleplay Basics
Good Roleplay Examples
Be specific and descriptive:
"I slowly approached the door, my hand trembling as I reached for the handle. 'Is anyone there?' I whispered nervously."
Show emotions and thoughts:
"My heart raced as I saw her. Despite my anger, I couldn't help but smile. 'I've been waiting for you,' I said, trying to keep my voice steady."
React to the environment:
"The cold wind made me shiver. I pulled my coat tighter and hurried toward the warm glow of the tavern."
What to Avoid
Don't control other characters:
"I walked up to Sarah and she smiled at me and said hello."
❌ You're controlling Sarah's actions
Don't be too brief:
"OK" or "Yes" or "I walked."
❌ Not enough detail for good roleplay
Don't break character:
"Hey AI, can you make Sarah do something?"
❌ Stay in character throughout

Frequently Asked Questions
Don't worry! Text roleplay is like writing a story collaboratively. Think of it as:
Acting in a play - You're playing a character with their own personality
Writing a story - Describe what your character does, thinks, and feels
Having a conversation - Respond naturally to what other characters say and do
Start simple and you'll improve quickly!
Aim for 1-3 sentences minimum. A good response typically includes:
What your character does (action)
What they say (dialogue)
How they feel or what they think (emotion/thought)
Example: "I stepped back in surprise, my eyes widening. 'I didn't expect to see you here,' I said, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness."
Try these approaches:
Be more specific - Instead of "I go there," try "I slowly walk toward the mysterious door"
Add context - Mention your character's motivation or feelings
Use the regenerate button - Get a different AI response if the first one doesn't fit
Guide the scene - Your character's actions help shape what happens next
To change characters or scenes, you'll need to start a new roleplay session:
